Future Engineering Academy (SINCE 2014)
Our Mission
Most young Canadians are not choosing a career in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field. As the Spotlight on Science Learning reports, only about 27% of students are currently engaged in STEM-related post-secondary education and the percentage of applications in these fields has been decreasing where the need for qualified personnel in STEM careers, especially in sustainable technology and health services, has increased dramatically.

We provide a engaginge classroom environment with curriculums designed to spark students' interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
Join our plight to secure a future for our planet. The environmental revolution starts at home, spreads to the community, and extends to the world until, before we know it, we have revolutionized the nation.
Based on curriculums from TeachersTryScience.org, the program is designed to have students learn STEM through various experiments while having fun at the same time
STEM Professional Development
“Problem Solving” is a skill that can be learned. The Student Racing Challenge poses challenges that cannot be addressed by trial and error, but must be tackled systematically through math modeling. How much weight to add so that the power is maximized?
Which gear ratio or tire type will minimize time? Getting the answers right doesn’t just get you an A, it means you have engineered a better team. In addition to training for educators who are actively implementing the Student Racing Challenge, FEC provides professional development for current and pre-service teachers that covers the following:
STEM Education methods; breaking down subject-matter silos
Addressing core content and next generation standards
Applied STEM concepts and skills (real problem solving skills)

With increasing demand of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) professionals and number of jobs, STEM has become one of the most rewarding and interesting field studies in present world. EWC is proud to introduce Saturday School programs based on STEM, starting Feb 2015. There are number of courses to choose from. Check out our complete course list under Programs.
Project-Based Learning that Doesn't Forget the Learning
The Future Engineers Camp is a Project Based Learning that Doesn’t Forget the Learning. In many ways, business, engineering, R&D and politics are team sports. Future Engineers and its partners have set out over 15 years ago to help students learn the skills to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere while also learning why mathematics and physics are "pretty" helpful.
Through the Future Engineers Camp, middle and high school students who have a variety of interests organize, operate and OWN their own STEM company or team. Young men and women, supported by a community of mentors and educators, collaborate and create in ways that mirror business & marketing executives, engineers, technicians, green transportation designers and professional sports teams.
STEM Initiative: Future Engineers Camp
"Engineering" occurs at the intersection of science, math and technology. Not everyone will be an engineer, but everyone will need the ability to think critically and apply lessons that STEM teaches us about turning ideas into reality.
The Future Engineers Camp is a project-based STEM curriculum, network and optional competition league through which high school students practice the art of being professionals. Participants collaborate, create and compete in ways that mirror business & marketing executives, engineers, technicians, green transportation designers and motorsports teams.
